Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina is pleased to announce a 4th of July holiday filled with activities for the whole family to enjoy. Celebrate Independence on the Back Bay with live music, watersports, food trucks, and an incredible fireworks show sponsored by the City of Newport Beach at one of SoCal’s top viewing locations.
On Sunday, July 4, gates open at 8 a.m. Arrive early to set up beach chairs and umbrellas and experience all that Newport Dunes has to offer including Southern California’s largest Inflatable Water Park and watersports rentals including kayaks, pedal boats, stand up paddleboards, and the resort’s brand new, 21-foot electric Duffy boats. Grab a bite and a refreshing cocktail at Newport Dunes’ beachfront grill and bar, Moe B’s Munchies, and save room for the Food Trucks Feast featuring nine of the region’s favorite food trucks.
Enjoy two live entertainment locations at each end of the resort with full bar setups. Bring a chair and umbrella to enjoy a performance on the sand by David Rosales near the watersports pier, or get your groove on at the Gazebo Lawn & Garden with music by DJ Pries and Safety Orange while playing fun lawn games including giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, and Bean Bag Toss. Take a seat on the sand after dark to take in the most spectacular pyrotechnic fireworks show in Orange County, sponsored by the City of Newport Beach.

Details: Trucks include Fiesta Gourmet, Foodlicious, KABOBAHOLIC, Italian Burger Food Truck, Monkey Business Cafe, Drizzle, Kettle Corn King, Rio Soft Serve, and Skewer Food Truck
Live Music by David Rosales
Time: 2–6 p.m.
Location: At the beach movie screen near the watersports pier
Details: A full bar will be available. Bring your chair and umbrella and unwind on the sand.
Groovin’ at the Gazebo
Time: 3–7 p.m.
Location: Gazebo Lawn & Garden
Details: Live Music by DJ Pries and Safety Orange. A full bar will be set up. Fun lawn games including giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, and Bean Bag Toss. No chairs, BBQ’s or coolers will be allowed in this area. Limited seating and high-top cocktail tables will be available. Cool off in the shade and get your groove on.
