Pick a pumpkin, enjoy a hay ride, pet farm animals, and navigate a corn maze at night this month at the Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Patch.
The patch is open from Tuesday through Sunday through Halloween. The hours of operation are:
· Tuesday and Wednesday, noon to 6 p.m.
· Thursday and Friday, noon to 8 p.m.
· Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission is free, but some activities will carry a charge. Pumpkins from the big patch are $6 each, while pumpkins from the Kids Patch are $5 each.
Activities that are available daily include the corn maze, the Kids Corn Maze, Sunflower Fields Forever, and the Farm Kids Country Fair, which includes a squash tunnel, games, and photo props.
The petting farm, pony rides, hay wagon rides, and duck races are only available on weekends. Guests can purchase an activity bundle/wristband for $11 that will give them unlimited access to all activities except the pony rides.
All these activities will close at dusk.
For the first time, the corn maze will be open at night, so guests can try and get through the maze in the dark. The night corn maze will open from 6 to 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Participants must pay a separate admission. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or adult.
The patch is near the Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store, 4102 S. University Drive, Pomona, near Temple Avenue.
During the week, limited free parking is available in the field near the pumpkin patch.
On the weekends, parking is across Temple Avenue, either in Parking Structure 2, Lot B, or the Event Parking lot.
ADA parking is in the I-Poly High School lot off South University Drive near Temple Avenue. Accessible transportation will transport people from this lot to the main gate.
